Magma Design Automation Inc., a provider of semiconductor design software, announced that Beceem Communications, a provider of chipsets for mobile WiMAX technology, has expanded its use of Magma software. A long-time user, Beceem Communications is utilizing the full suite of Magma Blast IC implementation products including Blast Create, Blast Fusion, Blast Plan Pro, Blast Power, and Blast Noise. Beceem Communications has also added the Blast Yield TX manufacturability and yield enhancement solution for designs targeted at TSMC's processes, the Quartz Time timing and noise sign-off verification product, and the Quartz RC sign-off parasitic extractor to their flow.
