Variable Q Filter For Real-Time Performance.(Zetex's Zetex ZXF36L01)(Product Announcement)

Zetex has introduced an analog bandpass filter that provides variable Q up to a value of about 50. Due to its analog nature, the ZXF36L01 delivers true real-time filtering and provides effective noise performance.

For maximum versatility, the filter center frequency is easily tunable by two resistors and two capacitors. The frequency range extends up to 200 kHz. For higher frequency application, an on-chip mixer block is provided to allow the center frequency to be up to 1 MHz, again with a frequency range of 200 kHz. The local oscillator used with the mixer can be any waveform, allowing convenient microprocessor control. Filter Q is controlled by two external resistors.
