THE AIM OF this collaborative effort was to harness the natural gas supply near Songo Songo Island off the coast to bring a safe, clean, reliable and sustainable source of power to Tanzania and to establish a precedent for future investment in the region. Songas is a private power company which is majority owned by Globeleq, an emerging markets power generation company.
