THE COMMITMENT OF the G8 leaders to Africa has been welcomed, but they have been warned that sustainable development would be 'seriously hindered' without urgent trade reform. Dr Bamanga Tukur, President of the African Business Roundtable and Chairman of the NEPAD Business Group, was speaking in the wake of the G8 Summit in the UK which concluded with a commitment to increase aid to Africa by US$25 billion by 2010.
