Hubs and routers have been gearing up to be the central point of connectivity in enterprise networks for some time now. To that end, hubs do routing, routers do switching and both offer connectivity--in some form or other--to SNA networks.

Cabletron Systems (Rochester, NH) has attacked this market with a slew--18 in all--of new products, which provide SNA LAN/WAN integration and token-ring connectivity on its hubs. For a brief description of all the announced products, see Table 1, and note that all products listed are either available now or will be in the first quarter of 1995.
