Nortel, Cisco Up, Lucent Down.(Company Financial Information)(Brief Article)
Business Communications Review, April, 2000
Strong optical transport sales drove Nortel's 24 percent growth in data gear for 4Q99, despite sluggish LAN switch sales. The other winner was Cisco, up 12 percent from 3Q99 thanks to access routers and WAN routers. Lucent fell 4 percent as flat optical transport sales mitigated strong WAN switch and access concentrator sales.
3Com saw 6 percent growth due to strong Palm, NIC and modem sales, partly offset by weak systems sales.
