Tech Spending Should Rebound.(Industry Trend or Event)

Growth in U.S. spending on technology products will fall this year (Figure 1), but worldwide markets will remain strong, according to International Data Corp. (IDC). Likewise, a separate study from Business Communications Co., Inc. finds that the long-term picture for all types of networks remains strong.
Even as this year's market slackens in the U.S., it's likely to hold firm overseas, said Stephen Minton, manager of IDC's worldwide IT markets and strategies research. The strongest growth opportunities are in Latin America, Eastern Europe, Asia, the Middle East and Africa. Particularly strong growth areas include India and Australia.
