Outsourcing: more IT services moving offshore.(BCR Access)(according to IDC)(Brief Article)(Industry Overview)

The offshore component of U.S. IT services delivery could reach almost a quarter of the total market in three years, according to International Data Corp. (IDC), which surveyed leading IT services vendors. Despite the projected dramatic increase, U.S. workers will be able to take advantage of their current expertise to gain new skills that will continue to be valuable here, according to IDC.
"While there will be a migration of some jobs overseas, it will be coupled with steady growth in a number of service activities on U.S. soil," said Ned May, program manager at IDC.
