NEW YORK -- When Brandeis University inaugurates Yehuda Reinharz, a graduate, as president this Sunday, it will reaffirm its role as a key player in Jewish life and discourse in America. Mr. Reinharz, who began working in the position last year, is a former provost and senior vice president for student affairs at the school.
He holds a doctorate in modern Jewish history from Brandeis and is a member of the President of Israel's Steering Committee on Israeli-Jewish Relations, a group founded in 1994.
