Herb Boyd, former Detroiter and Wayne State University professor, recently received a proclamation from the mayor and a resolution from City Council for his many scholastic contributions.
Boyd, who has taught African American history for over a decade, co-edited (with Robert L. Allen) "brotherman: The Odyssey of Black Men in America -- An Anthology." One reviewer described it as "outstanding" and assembled "with a commitment to inclusion and diversity."
