Michigan Chronicle 08-15-2000 KIIDS receives grant from Metro Health Foundation The KIDS Immunization Initiative Detroit/Southeast Michigan (KIIDS) Community Outreach Project has received a grant of $17,971 from the Metro Health Foundation. KIIDS goal is achievement of a 90-percent immunization rate for three-year-old children in southeastern Michigan by year 2005. KIIDS Outreach focuses on developing strategies through a commumity-based coalition to provide immunizations for at-risk children.
The metropolitan Detroit healthcare region, the domain of KIIDS, is comprised of the city of Detroit, and surrounding counties of Wayne, Oakland, Macomb, Monroe,St.Clair, Livingston and Washtenaw. The region encompasses half of the population of Michigan, 1.8 million...
