UNCF receives million dollar donation

Standifer, Lolita Michigan Chronicle 12-19-2000 UNCF receives million dollar donation Vance D. Coffman, Lockheed-Martin CEO and chairman, presented a check for $1 million to William H. Gray III, United Negro College Fund (UNCF) president, to support the UNCF's Technology Enhancement Capital Campaign (TECC). The presentation of the check was made during a luncheon hosted by Coffman and Gray in Washington, D.C.
in November. "Building the Workforce of the Future" was the theme. An $80 million campaign, TECC was designed to bridge the digital divide for UNCF's 39 colleges and universities by providing them with the technology needed to succeed in today's world.
