'Go East, young folks'

Michigan Chronicle 07-24-2001 `Go East, young folks' Northwest Airlines sponsored a recent trip to Singapore by members of the Mosaic Youth Theatre of Detroit. The Mosaic group was invited to perform a modern version of the Greek classic Medea at LaSalle-SIA College of the Arts by Sabri Buang, head of the school of drama. Six students and three staff members traveled to Singapore for the performance and will also present theatre workshops and lectures to students at the college during their visit. More than 100 metro Detroit teenagers, ages 12 to 19, participate in the Mosaic Youth Theatre Ensemble each year.
