Congressional Black Caucus names first president

Michigan Chronicle 09-17-2002 Washington, D.C.-- Weldon J. Rougeau, a seasoned executive with more than three decades of experience in law, business, government, civil rights, and academia, has been named president of the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation, Inc. (CBCF), a non-partisan, non-profit organization focused on research, leadership, educaton, housing, economic development and public policy in the U.S.

and abroad. "This appointment offers many challenges and opportunties," said Rougeau. "I am honored to assume leadership of an organizatoin that lifts up, informs, conncets and celebrates our people at this time in our history."
