Lonnie, Jr. Michigan Chronicle 11-11-2003 Back in the late 60s, as a student working on my master of arts degree at Wayne State University, I found myself in the middle of the Black student movement. As a result of a set of circumstances, I ended up organizing the Association of Black Students and served as president of the organization until I graduated. This particular period in our history was unique.
