Donni's Door opens to those with dream of homeownership

Michigan Chronicle 12-27-2004 Confronted with a possible layoff, a huge amount of bills and an outrageous home rental fee, Donneva Tolbert found that several doors leading to homeownership were continuously being slammed in her face. Although it was depressing, the single mother of three didn't allow rejection to crush her dream of one day owning a home.
Instead, she fought back, empowering herself with knowledge needed to repair her credit and open new doors. Out of heartache, Donni's Door was born.
