Michigan Chronicle 01-11-2005 Services were held for Irma Louise Robertson on Dec. 11 at St. Matthew's & St. Joseph's Episcopal Church with the Rev. Canon Saundra D. Richardson officiating. Ms. Robertson, 89, died Dec. 3. Ms. Robertson was born Dec. 22, 1914, to the union of Rebecca Roberts and Eli Adams.
She was the youngest of three children; her brothers were Cleo and Edward. Her mother was widowed when she was 2 years old. She graduated from Birmingham Industrial High School in 1932. She furthered her education at St. Vincent Hospital School of Nursing, where she received certification as a registered nurse in 1935. Later that year, she moved to Detroit with her mother.
