Alma Marie Boatman retires from DPS

Michigan Chronicle 07-12-2005 Alma Marie Boatman will celebrate 28 years of service to DPS. She was born July 25, 1944, and married in 1964 (a military wedding). She graduated from Wayne State University in 1977 with a bachelor of science degree in education, and began her teaching career at Murphy Middle School, from September 1978 to July 1 of this year. Some of her achievements and awards include a M.E.D.
at Cambridge University in 1995; member of the Benjamin Bannaker Association for Improvement of Mathematics, 1994-2004; Optimist Club member and president, 2002-2003; union alternate for 14 years, and Union delegate for 10 years.
