Canadian PM Jean Chretien's office is accusing the Canadian Broadcasting Corp. of deliberately humiliating Chretien in public by allowing him to appear in a television program with guests who are critical of his policies. This accusation illustrates Chretien's inability to deal with criticism and the lack of planning of his advisers.

The prime minister's office is complaining that Jean Chretien got such a rough ride from the participants in a recent CBC town hall because the Corporation had stacked the deck against him.
