The Baffler, apparently published by Editor Thomas Frank and colleagues whenever a new issue is ready, has won wide acclaim as a noteworthy source of top-notch writing on the Left. Recent Bafflers have given us Stephen Duncombe's social history of the Cadillac ("The Penalty of Leadership"), Matt Roth's foray into the world of Amway ("Dreams Incorporated") and Doug Henwood's debunking of small business ("A Question of Size").
