CHICAGO--AM Communications Inc. has announced the availability of a wide range of monitoring solutions for Scientific-Atlanta headend equipment, including S-A Continuum, Prisma and Prisma DT.

The Continuum and Prisma solutions are implemented using Serial Application Modules (SAMs) that plug into AM's Telemetry Application Monitor (TAM) headend equipment monitoring system. Monitoring headend equipment using the SAM solution allows AM to directly communicate with the target equipment's low-level native monitoring interfaces, eliminating intermediate managers and proxy agents.
