SUGAR LAND, Texas -- Applied Optoelectronics Inc. (AOI) has announced the availability of three new analog 1310 nm lasers. The lasers are designed for analog transmission over the 50 MHz to 860 MHz frequency range used to transmit cable television signals. Additionally, they are well suited to antenna remoting applications, according to the company.

The lasers are an ideal linear light source for intermediate reach and long-reach analog applications. Like AOI's digital 1310 nm lasers, the new line features "outstanding" performance at elevated temperatures. Consequently, the lasers can be deployed in demanding environments without expensive cooling.
