Time Warner Cable waxes wireless. (Up front: latest news and insight).(Brief Article)

Time Warner Cable will use fixed wireless technologies to reach some small- and medium-sized businesses in San Diego, thanks to a deal with SkyRiver Communications. Time Warner is tapping SkyRiver's technology and surrounding wireless network to complement its fiber optic and broadband cable network in the region, end push into areas not serviced by cable or T-1 Lines.

SkyRiver's wireless network covers roughly 700 square miles within San Diego County, offering speeds as high as 2.5 Mbps.
