Time Warner Cable's Northeast Ohio division has teamed with Viseon Inc. to provide a videoconferencing service to the MSO's commercial high speed data customers.

The MSO will use Viseon's VisiFone and VidiFone Eye-to-Eye videoconferencing service to support the new, value-added Road Runner Business Class offering.

Viseon said Time Warner Cable marks the first cable marketing partner for the vendor's SIP-compliant VisiFone, which carries a $599 price tag.

WorldGate Communications is competing in the cable sector with its Ojo videophone. In August, WorldGate reported that it does not expect to realize videophone revenues until Q4.
