The big pour -- the 33-hour, continuous placement of 7,610 cubic yards of concrete -- formed the foundation for The Ohio State University (OSU) Medical Center's new Biomedical Research Tower.
The new, 12-story Biomedical Research Tower, a research and education facility with approximately 416,000 square feet, is being built adjacent to the OSU Medical Center on 12th Avenue between The Tzagournis Medical Research Building and the Biological Sciences Building.
