Saint Louis University has broken ground on its new $80.5-million multipurpose arena near Compton and Interstate 64/Highway 40. Construction of the arena complex is expected to take 18 to 19 months, with an opening in March 2008. St. Louis-based Clayco has been selected to build the arena complex, which is designed by St. Louis-based Mackey Mitchell Associates and Sink Comb Dethlefs, based in Denver.
