Columbus, Ohio- Ohio Aggregates & Industrial Minerals Association (OAIMA) held its annual meeting and trade show in Columbus, Nov. 9-10. Dennis Garrison, 2006 OAIMA president, presided over the meeting. Numerous speakers addressed attendees, including Archie Griffin, of Ohio State University; Jon Husted, speaker of the Ohio House of Representatives; John Hayden, vice president of environmental services for the National Stone, Sand & Gravel Association; and Ken Katch, director of Emission Solutions Group for Caterpillar Inc.
At the OAIMA awards breakfast, Ohio Senator Larry Mumper was awarded the Robert A. Wilkinson Award. John Jensen, Belden Brick Co., was named to the OAIMA Hall of Fame.
