PLCopen's XML kick off meeting `successful'. (News).

PLCopen held its first meeting of the TC6--XML Technical Committee at Schneider Electric's Seligenstadt location to consider the XML sources that were donated to the organisation by Schneider during Hannover Fair last April. The XML sources are a set of definitions for converting graphical PLC languages to XML format.

"The kick off meeting was very successful," reports Eelco van der Wal, Managing Director PLCopen. "During the meeting it became clear that it is worthwhile to extend the XML sources to the textual languages and common elements. With these extensions the current goal is to provide in XML format the logic information with optional explicit graphics.
