I would like to clarify a few things about the Subaru ad in your June 2005 (Vol. 15, #4) issue. The ad came from Subaru of America, or SOA. SOA is a great company ... [but] there are no Subarus made in Cherryhill, N.J., which is where SOA is located.

I work for Subaru of Indiana, or SIA. We make the Subaru Outback wagon, Outback sedan and the new B9 Tribeca.... At SIA we do not have benefits for domestic partners. The ad makes it sound like Subaru is made by and for all gay people. Although SOA is gay-friendly, the hard-working people who actually make the vehicles at SIA are not given the same benefits. Buy a Subaru if you like and want one, not because it's [built by] a gay-friendly company ... because it's not.
