M2 PRESSWIRE-21 July 1998-RAF: John Spellar MP opens Airshow (C)1994-98 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD RDATE:200798 Parliamentary Under Secretary of State at the Ministry of Defence, Mr John Spellar MP, will fly into RAF Fairford, Gloucestershire, aboard a Gulfstream V aircraft to launch the Royal International Air Tattoo on Thursday 23 July.

Public days for the airshow are Saturday/Sunday 25/26 July, and spectators will see a record 446 aircraft from around the world. The Tattoo will stage Britain's biggest celebrations for 80 years of the Royal Air, Force and the 50th Anniversary Of the Berlin Airlift.
