This action is being taken due to record high temperatures blanketing much of the nation over the past several weeks.

Such conditions, combined with unforeseen aircraft taxi delays can subject animals to stress, which in extreme conditions, can result in illness or death to the pet. Passengers affected by this embargo in the middle of a trip will be allowed to return to their domiciles with live animals as checked baggage provided outside ambient temperatures are not forecast to exceed 85...
