M2 PRESSWIRE-12 August 1998-U.S. DOT: DoT Enforcement office cites Delta-Swissair for Afghan code-share overflights (C)1994-98 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD RDATE:100898 The Department of Transportation's Aviation Enforcement Office today cited code-share partners Delta Air Lines and Swissair for operating prohibited code-share flights over Afghanistan.

The order, which was agreed to by the carriers, marked DOT's first finding of prohibited code-share overflights against either a U.S. carrier or a foreign code-share partner of a U.S. carrier.
