For the first time, the bulletin reports on performance by carriers against the Customer Service Guarantee (CSG) standard for new phone connections. The CSG sets timeframes for the provision of services. The data supplied by Telstra indicates that provision of new services for urban customers improved marginally, in comparison with the previous quarter, by two percentage points to 84 per cent within the timeframe set by the CSG.
