Air New Zealand currently operates seven ATR 72s. They have a seat capacity of 66 and a cruising speed of 518 kilometres per hour. The airline has operated ATRs since 1995. The ATR 72-500 has 66 seats, is more comfortable inside with a redesigned interior, larger overhead bins and quieter cabins resulting from a combination of advanced six bladed propellers coupled with high technology treatment of noise.
