M2 PRESSWIRE-28 January 1999-OHIO EPA: Ohio EPA seeks comments on permit application from BP Oil's Toledo Refinery (C)1994-99 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD RDATE:260199 Ohio EPA will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, February 2, to accept comments on an application received from BP Oil for the renewal of a discharge permit for BP's Toledo Refinery at 4001 Cedar Point Road in Oregon.
The hearing begins at 7 p.m. at the Lucas County Commissioner's Office, One Government Center, Suite 800, Toledo. The renewal permit would allow BP to continue to treat eight million gallons a day of wastewater and "once through" cooling water associated with crude oil refining. Treated wastewaters would be discharged to Maumee Bay and subsequently to Lake Erie. The cooling water...
