M2 PRESSWIRE-25 February 1999-ATA: Small decline in December cargo traffic (C)1994-99 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD RDATE:240299 * Cargo Declined Less Than One Percent Washington, DC -- The Air Transport Association (ATA) announced today that cargo traffic decreased 0.6 percent in December, when compared to the same month last year.
Domestic cargo increased 3.2 percent, while international cargo declined five percent. Cargo traffic includes mail, freight and express. System-wide freight and express cargo increased 0.2 percent in December. Domestic freight and express was strong increasing 5.5 percent, while international decreased 5.1 percent.
