M2 PRESSWIRE-22 March 1999-ITC: Research for ITC indicates improved coverage for Digital Terrestrial TV (C)1994-99 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD RDATE:170399 Significant improvement in the coverage for digital terrestrial television should be possible according to the findings of research published today commissioned by the ITC from Castle Transmission International (CTI).
Existing coverage for the six multiplexes, based on 81 transmission sites, ranges from 90 for the BBC multiplex to 73 for multiplex D which carries ONdigital services. By enhancements provided by additional relay transmitters, this could be extended to around 93 and 85 respectively.
