M2 PRESSWIRE-27 April 1999-CTRL: Mowlem awarded CTRL railway modifications contract (C)1994-99 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD RDATE:260499 Union Railways (South) Ltd has announced John Mowlem & Company plc as the successful contractor for the GBP 60 million contract to modify the existing railway at Ashford and other locations as part of the construction of the Channel Tunnel Rail Link (CTRL).

This Contract, known as Contract 434, is for alterations to existing Railtrack infrastructure at Ashford and to Railtrack and Eurotunnel infrastructure at Dollands Moor, near the Channel Tunnel terminal and at other locations along the route.
