M2 PRESSWIRE-27 May 1999-CIVIL AVIATION AUTHORITY: Punctuality of UK flights (C)1994-99 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD RDATE:250599 The average delay to scheduled flights at major UK airports in the last quarter of 1998 was 13 minutes, the same as in 1997, while for charter flights the average delay was 33 minutes compared with 30 in 1997 These figures are published today by the Civil Aviation Authority.

During October to December 1998, the percentage of charter flights on time (early or up to 15 minutes late) was 54 per cent compared with 56 per cent in the corresponding period of 1997.
