M2 PRESSWIRE-16 June 1999-SIA ENGINEERING COMPANY: SIA Engineering Company to join forces with Messier Services to overhaul landing gear (C)1994-99 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD RDATE:160699 SIA Engineering Company (SIAEC) has signed a letter of intent (LOI) with Messier Services to form a joint venture to overhaul the landing gears of Airbus and Boeing (including McDonnell Douglas) aircraft.

Messier Services is jointly owned by Messier-Bugatti and Messier-Dowty, both from within the SNECMA Group of companies. The LOI was signed in Singapore by Messier Services Chairman Yves Leclere and SIAEC Chief Executive Robert Tan.
