Stewart kicked off Environment Week 1999 today by announcing proposed new regulations to give Canadians cleaner air and better health protection by reducing air pollutants from gasoline vapor.
The proposed Gasoline and Gasoline Blend Dispensing Flow Rate Regulations would limit the flow of gasoline to a maximum of 38 litres per minute when refueling a vehicle thereby cutting down on the release of gasoline vapor and limiting the environmental damage associated with spilled gasoline.
