M2 PRESSWIRE-23 July 1999-USDA: USDA announces special import quota #22 for upland cotton (C)1994-2000 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD RDATE:220799 WASHINGTON -- Keith Kelly, Executive Vice President of USDA's Commodity Credit Corporation, today announced a special import quota for upland cotton that permits importation of a quantity of upland cotton equal to one week's domestic mill use.

The quota will be established on July 29, 1999, allowing importation of 42,388,357 kilograms (194,688 bales) of upland cotton.
