This study was conducted as part of Ohio EPA's Urban Air Toxic Monitoring Program, initiated by U.S. EPA to assess cancer risks in large urban areas with many industrial air pollution sources. Cuyahoga County's toxic air emissions decreased more than 40 from 1991 to 1997, but the county typically ranks in the top 4 statewide for total toxic releases due to the large number of manufacturing...
