For the first time, assessments of all airprox incidents involving commercial air transport, general aviation and military operations, filed by both pilots and air traffic controllers, have been published in one report by an independent body. It shows that in 1998, the number of risk-bearing airprox incidents involving public transport flights per 100,000 flying hours was 1.20, compared with 2.3 7 in 1997 and 2.87 in 1996.
