Testing began at 9.00. After heavy overnight rain, the track remained wet throughout the morning. This enabled Rubens Barrichello to work on finding a good "rain" set-up for his F399. In the afternoon, he tested various different mechanical components as well as doing some tyre testing. The day's programme was completed in its entirety and there were no mechanical problems.
