M2 PRESSWIRE-3 December 1999-ACA: ACA warns North Queensland to prepare for analogue closure (C)1994-99 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD RDATE:021299 The Australian Communications Authority (ACA) today released research results that show 99 percent of remaining analogue mobile phone users know the network is closing, but many are unsure how to prepare for the closure.

The ACA reminded people that although they will be able to use their analogue mobile phone in North Queensland until the network is shut down there sometime during 2000, their phone will not work in most of Australia after New Year's Eve.
