M2 PRESSWIRE-21 May 2002-CMG: CMG secures 8.5 million euro deal to help Globe Telecom further expand SMS capacity (C)1994-2002 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD RDATE:05212002 London -- CMG today announces that it has secured a deal with Globe Telecom, the Philippines' fastest growing telecommunications company, to increase its total Short Messaging Services Centre (SMSC) capacity to 6,000 messages per second.

The deal is valued at euro8.5 million. Globe Telecom has worked with CMG's Wireless Data Solutions' division since 1999 and last upgraded its SMSC in March 2001, when the capacity was expanded to 3,500 messages per second. In the last year, Globe Telecom's SMS traffic has almost doubled requiring throughput to a maximum of 6,000 messages per second....
