RDATE:07012002 SAP announced the introduction of new merchandise management and planning functionality for mySAP Retail. The new capabilities aim to enhance the core merchandising functionality of mySAP Retail, providing more accurate inventory management, sophisticated allocation, promotion planning, and pricing optimisation capabilities.

SAP also announced a new modular forecasting and replenishment solution through a strategic alliance with SAF. Frost & Sullivan Analysis 2002 is the year in which previously unfashionable segments of the market became a priority for the major enterprise application vendors.
