RDATE:07032002 The Secretary of State for Trade and Industry has decided, on the information at present before her, and in accordance with the recommendation of the Director General of Fair Trading, not to refer the following mergers to the Competition Commission under the provisions of the Fair Trading Act 1973: Completed acquisition by Thomson Multimedia SA of Grass Valley Group Proposed acquisition by The BOC Group plc of the pipeline network and related assets of Enron Teesside Operations Limited Completed acquisition by The BOC Group plc through its subsidiaries The BOC Group BV and The BOC Group SA of the high vacuum pumps business owned by Seiko Instruments Inc.
