M2 PRESSWIRE-12 September 2002-UNIVERSITY OF SURREY: New ISO Standard 16642 -- Terminological markup framework (C)1994-2002 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD RDATE:09122002 On 1 August this year, the result of an ISO ballot was distributed to member bodies reporting that the proposed Draft International Standard ISO/DIS 16642 had received a 100 positive vote and so would be able to skip one stage in the standardization process and proceed directly to publication.

ISO 16642, "Computer applications in terminology - Terminological markup framework (TMF)", is being adopted by the British Standards Institution (BSI) and will soon be available through BSI Online (info@m2.com)).
